current rules
are as follows. Note there are two documents for each age grade:
a set of Rules in Full; and
an Abridged set of Rules which also
include umpiring signals and scoring tips
. These can be printed double sided and laminated for use at matches.

BEARS Rules
ELECTRICAL STORMS (The 30/30 Rule)
If thunder follows a lightning flash by thirty (30) seconds or less, play must cease immediately. Players and officials must leave the field immediately and must not return until thirty (30) minutes after the initial lightning flash. If during the suspension of play thunder follows a lightning flash by thirty (30) seconds or less, the thirty (30) minute suspension period is to recommence.
